Disney Classics op Blu-Ray

Wat is het stil rondom nieuwe classics op blu-ray. het enige wat we weten is dat Lady and the Tramp de nieuwe Diamond Edition wordt, maar nog nergens is een datum of artwork aangekondigd. En ergens in een foldertje heeft Pocahontas gestaan, maar ook daar nog geen verdere info over.

Cinderella is aangekondigd als grote najaarsrelease voor 2012. En in Zweden is een datum genoemd voor Lady & the tramp: 3 maart 2012.

And on the subject of forthcoming Blu-ray releases: Retail sources in Scandinavia are informing us that Disney's Lady and the Tramp BD is due to street in the region on or around 3/3/2012. That means you can reasonably expect the U.S. release date to be sometime around then as well. We'll be sure to post official details when Disney announces them. Additional confirmation on this comes from our friend John Berge of Release in Norway, so thanks to him for that.

Het is zo'n 6 euro duurder dan Amazon. Dus zo verschrikkelijk duur wil ik niet zeggen. Maar ik zou gewoon bij Amazon bestellen

Ik wacht mooi tot deel 2 en 3 ook los uitkomen.

Diamond Editions of Disney's 1955 Lady and the Tramp are available now for pre-order on Amazon for February 7, 2012.

Lady and the Tramp, Disney's first widescreen CinemaScope animated feature is being released in it's original 2.55:1 aspect ratio in a 3-disc BD DVD Digital Copy Combo Pack Diamond Edition available for $31.49, and 2-disc BD DVD Diamond Edition and DVD packaging edition for $27.99.

Disney vermorzelt z'n films wel vaker in de trailerfase. De oorspronkelijke muziek wordt vervangen, soms ook de stemmen, en af en toe het beeldformaat... Bij de films zelf komt het dan weer goed. En Cinderella is van vóór het widescreentijdperk (pré 1954), dus die o.a.r. is correct.

Ik heb gehoord dat Pocahontas (en waarschijnlijk Pocahontas 2) de eerste helft van 2012 op Blu-ray zal verschijnen in Zuid-Amerika (en waarschijnlijk de gehele US). Aladdin zou later in 2012 verschijnen.

Voor 2013 zijn plannen om The Rescuers (en Rescuers Down Under) en Hunchback Of Notre Dame uit te gaan brengen op Blu-ray, aldus berichten op www.ultimatedisney.com

Of en wanneer ze in Nederland uit gaan komen, geen idee.

Hm... Wat ik heb gehoord is dat we dit jaar als niet-diamond releases: Pocahontas en Tarzan krijgen. Tarzan waarschijnlijk kortbij juni ergens. Tarzan zou een marketingreactie zijn op de nieuwe Tarzan 3D film van Constantin Film en Ambient Entertainment. Net zoals Disney dat heeft gedaan bij de Alice In Wonderland van Tim Burton. Toen krijgen we ook de animatieversie van AIW.

Twee titels waar ik écht op zit te wachten, vooral het vervolg trouwens. De openingsscène spoelde (VHS) ik altijd terug om opnieuw en opnieuw te bekijken, net als het moment waarop de jongen mee gaat vliegen ... Onvergetelijk.

Dat gerucht gaat al een tijdje. Net als Pocahontas, Finding Nemo, Tarzan, The Hunchback en Aladdin.
