Is het ook iemand opgevallen dat de eerste zinnen die Luke zegt een major reveal zouden kunnen zijn. "The force is strong in our family. My father HAS it, I have it, etc". Als Vader dood zou zijn, dan moet het zijn: "My father HAD it"

Geen lesflare! JJ weet precies de juiste snaar/fans te raken met deze fantastische trailer (had niet anders verwacht na zijn star trek films). Kerst is nog ver...

Gelukkig is de première een week voor kerst

De trailer eindigt inderdaad met een kippenvel momentje, de actie ziet er al goed uit, maar dat de look and feel al goed is; dat gevoel heb ik nog niet. Het ziet er zo.......'modern' uit op een of andere manier, het is lastig te omschrijven. John Boyega vind ik ook nog twijfelachtig.
Maar ik heb er alle vertrouwen in dat het goed komt; tenslotte had ik er ook een zwaar hoofd in dat Abrahms Star Trek zou vernaggelen, maar dat is nu 1 van mijn favoriete Star Trek films geworden.

Here are the 10 biggest takeaways from the star-studded event, which featured appearances from J.J. “ 1. The Desert Planet Isn’t Tatooine
Its been known for quite some time that a significant portion of The Force Awakens takes place on a desert planet (its right there in the first teaser from last November). Many fans assumed that said desert planet was Tatooine, which is part of five of the six existing movies. However, Abrams insists that it’s not Tatooine, and is instead a new planet called Jakku (at least, that seems to be the accepted spelling on the Internet). ”

“ 2. Abrams’ Apprehension
J.J. Abrams described in detail how he grew up as a huge fan of Star Wars: “It had such heart … and such hope.” But he wasn’t initially ready to sign on for the sequel. “He didn’t say yes right away,” said producer Kathleen Kennedy. But after Abrams and Kennedy met, Abrams began to see it as an exciting opportunity, and eventually came on board. ”

“ 3. Force for Change
Abrams announced that Star Wars: Force for Change -- a charity program set up during production – has already raised over $6 million for UNICEF (the United Nation’s Children Fund). That’s an awesome result, but it’s not over just yet: the program is going to continue to find ways to raise money up through the movie’s release in December. ”

“ 4. Fans Love Practical Sets
When host Anthony Breznican (from EW) asked about the movie’s use of practical sets and effects, the crowd burst in to applause before Abrams even had a chance to answer. After the CGI-heavy prequels, fans are clearly eager for a return to the original trilogy’s aesthetic. In answering the question, Abrams suggested that they did so much work in-camera that the first cut of the movie (sans effects) actually didn’t require all that much imagination to fill in the blanks.

“ 5. BB-8 is Very Real
Remember the ball droid from the first trailer? Remarkably, that droid is as real as R2-D2 was in the original trilogy. How do we know? Because it actually took the stage at Star Wars Celebration, cruising around as if it was an actual autonomous machine. Of course, there was someone controlling it from off-stage, but … you could have fooled us. ”

“ 6. Who is Rey?
Abrams confirmed that the movie’s three main characters are Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron. The respective actors each came on stage and had a chance to describe their characters a bit. Daisy Ridley said that Rey is a scavenger in a ship graveyard on Jakku; after meeting another character, her adventure begins. Very vague, but something is better than nothing. ”

“ 7. Who is Finn?
John Boyega’s description of his character was the vaguest of the bunch: he indicated that he finds himself in danger, and the way he reacts to it pulls him in to the story. Not much there, right? Host Anthony Breznican followed that up by asking Boyega if he actually was playing a stormtrooper. After a pause, Boyega seemed to nod yes (to Abrams’ dismay). ”

“ 8. Who Is Poe Dameron?
“The best freaking pilot in the galaxy.” Well put, Oscar Isaac. ”

“ 9. They’re fans, too.
Most of the people on stage were eager to tell stories about how much they loved Star Wars as well. Boyega recounted how he brought a toy version of Han Solo in a stormtrooper outfit to set, and asked Harrison Ford to sign it. “This is weird,” Ford said, but did it anyway. Not only are they fans, but they also seem to have a deep respect for the fans. Mark Hamill put it best: “You’re more than just fans… you’re family.” ”

“ 10. The Movie Looks Great
We learned this fact (yes, it’s a fact!) when the excellent new trailer played at the end of the panel. And then played a second time. So many highlights, but it’s hard to top the final line: “Chewie, we’re home.” Make sure to check it out for the second, third, and tenth time here here. ”

Klopt, maar ik denk dat hij bedoeld dat het te 'schoon' uitzien, te gelikt en gladjes. Maar ik heb hele goede hoop. SS was erg goed gemaakt, en dit zal ook een geweldig film worden. We moeten het natuurlijk niet vergelijken met de originele films. Deze nieuwe films zijn dan ook voor een nieuwe generatie kijkers, waarbij verhaalt stamt uit origineel, en we enkele originele karakters zullen zien.

Denk dat ik het kwa spoilers ook bij de 2 trailers laat. Ik laat me verrassen in de cinema. Zou wel mooi zijn als ze Skywalker en Leia bewaren tot de film en niet al in volgende trailer laten zien.

Het is misschien als vloeken in een kerk. Maar ik moet zeggen: ik heb de prequels de laatste weken nog gezien en ben nu bezig met de originele trilogie. Daar is ook niet lang alles goed aan. Ik vind bijv. het acteren van Fisher en Hamill echt niet overtuigend. En bij Ford was het wel goed maar bij tijd en wijlen ook erg overgeacteerd. En bij deel IV is het verhaaltje ook wel erg simpeltjes als je die hele voorgeschiedenis weghaalt. Wat dat betreft hebben ze met de prequels uitstekend werk geleverd qua opbouw naar deel IV, V en VI

Het is ook nooit goed hé.

Ik heb dat ook ooit hoor dat ik iets zie maar kan het dan niet verwoorden maar in dit geval snap ik echt niet wat je bedoeld.Het ademt toch juist die sfeer van de oude films.

Maar goed ik kan natuurlijk niet in jou hoofd kijken dus ik lees het nog wel een keer dan als je er uit bent.

Wat een trailer! Kreeg er even kippenvel van. Geweldig!
Het ziet er idd, zoals JJ omschreef, terug meer geleefd uit. Ook de sfeer zit er goed in.
Dit stopte toch wel echt de tease in teaser!

Mij interesseert ook de zin die Luke in de trailer zegt. Het lijkt enorm op wat hij zegt in Jedi.
Ook volop aan het speculeren wie die persoon is die in de verte staat onder het nieuwe Empire logo. Mensen denken al aan Leia! Ook tof om terug de lightsaber van Anakin/Vader te zien. Dacht dat die verloren gegaan was tijdens de climax in 'The Empire Strikes Back'?

Tjonge jonge wat ziet dit er goed uit zeg.Dit gaat op de console de eerste game zijn met Dolby Atmos.

Volgens mij zegt Luke dat niet, maar zijn zoon.

Dat zou op zich iets verklaren, maar was het niet duidelijk de stem van Mark Hamill (dus Luke Skywalker), en verwijst hij ook niet naar zijn zus? Als dat niet princess Leia is wie is dat dan? Nog een ander dus?
Het zou ook nog Princess Leia kunnen zijn in de teaser die een lightsaber aan haar dochter (aan de vrouwelijke hand te zien) overhandigd...zou wel passen bij de voice-over omdat er op dat moment verwezen wordt naar Princess Leia met 'my sister has it'. Ik denk dan ook eerder dat er sprake is van een dochter ipv een zoon. En ik voorspel dat het die dame is (Daisy Ridley) die we door het beeld zien rennen. Zij kan ook de dochter blijken te zijn van Luke natuurlijk

En zou het nu niet bijzonder zijn als blijkt dat Luke naar de donkere kant is verhuisd!?

Ik ben niet een bijzondere SW-fan (partner wel ), maar deze 2e trailer maakt me toch wel benieuwd. Gisteren Episode IV meteen maar weer eens gekeken...

this teaser awoke the child in me again...I am officially hyped!!!

Wou dat ik die ook had, Lucas heeft de film echt verpest voor me. Zit me zo te ergeren aan sommige aanpassingen. Bij die laatste BD uitgave ook weer met zijn Vader nooooo

Leuk om ze te hebben en te kunnen bekijken inderdaad, maar de kwaliteit van de dvd laat jammer genoeg veel te wensen over. Ik hoop nog steeds, zoals zo velen, op volwaardige uitgaves van de oorspronkelijke films. Maar of we dat nog mee gaan maken...
