TV-serie "De Wrekers" ("The Avengers)" verschijnt op Blu-ray

Binnenkort worden twee seizoenen van de Britse televisieserie "De Wrekers" ("The Avengers") uit de jaren 60 eindelijk op Blu-ray uitgebracht:



Seizoen 4 verschijnt op 10 november 2014 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk voor het eerst op Blu-ray.

En op 11 november 2014 verschijnt in de VS seizoen 5 op Blu-ray:

A&E Home Video and Lionsgate Entertainment have announced the Blu-ray release of The Avengers: Season 5 (1967), which stars Diana Rigg as Emma Peel and Patrick Macnee as John Steed. The first season of the classic British television series to be presented in color, Season 5 (along with the UK release of Season 4) represents the show's Blu-ray debut and streets on November 11th.

Synopsis: Shown in Great Britain for more than five years (debuting in 1961) before it caught on in America, The Avengers is a secret-agent thriller that almost bests James Bond. Jonathan Steed - an urbane, proper gentleman spy - and adventurous citizen Emma Peel repeatedly saved the world from diabolical schemes plotted by equally diabolical evil-doers (among them robots and man-eating monsters). Emma Peel, in her leather boots and mini-skirts, is now considered one of the most liberated women on 60's television.

The 3-disc Blu-ray release of The Avengers: Season 5 is presented in 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. English and Spanish subtitles are included. Special features have yet to be detailed. Episodes include:

Ik heb ze allemaal al op dvd en Nederlands ondertiteld dus ga de blu Ray niet aanschaffen.

Heb ze ook allemaal op dvd met Ned. ondert. en deze zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit.
Ik kan me ook niet voorstellen dat ze ooit nog met n.o. op blu-ray uitkomen.
Ook dan zou ik ze niet kopen, ben zeer tevreden met wat ik heb.

Deze komen er zeker bij mij in. Deze series zijn op 35 mm geschoten dus zullen er verbluffend uit zien op BD. 21 dollar is een koopje!
