Op blu-ray.com wordt er melding gemaakt dat sommige winkels ze wel met een slipcase verkopen.

Dat zou kunnen. Ik heb Argo bij amazon.co.uk besteld en die had geen slipcase. In Nederland heb je ook exclusieve uitgaven voor bijv. Skyfall, dat hebben ze in het Verenigd Koninkrijk vast ook.

Vraagje: is Argo hier oorspronkelijk uitgekomen in de WB Blu-line?
Ik heb vandaag mijn exemplaar gekregen met de WB Blu-line slipcover.
Als deze oorspronkelijk in deze reeks is uitgekomen, ga ik de covers van dvd profiler moeten aanpassen.

Titel was eerst uitgekomen als standaard WB release; dus de versie zichtbaar onder de slipcase.

Net bekeken. Heel goede film. Alleen weer jammer dat er een schrijffout in de ondertiteling staat. Blijkbaar komen de laatste tijd veel schrijffouten voor in de ondertiteling.

De releasedatum is nog onbekend, maar op termijn verschijnt er een nieuwe uitgave van Argo op Blu-ray in Amerika. Deze zal nu wel de extended cut bevatten en een twee disc met meer extra's. Daarnaast heeft de uitgave een fotoboek, een map met de filmlocaties, een poster en een replica van de ID-kaart van Ben Afleck's karakter.

De Nederlandse Blu-ray bevat inderdaad de extended cut. In Amerika is deze nog niet uitgebracht. Ook krijgt de Amerikaanse uitgave een tweede disc met extra's. Welke dat zijn is nog onbekend.

Schrijffouten komen inderdaad vaker voor. Of slechte vertalingen. Erger vind ik dat er ook Belgische vertalingen er in zitten. Ik heb deze film gezien en dacht dat er een spelfout in zat. F7 kennen ze denk ik niet.

Er zat 1 schrijffout in en die kwam gelukkig maar aan het eind van de film. Voor de rest kon ik niets verkeerds vinden...

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced the 2-disc Blu-ray release of Argo: The Declassified Extended Edition collector's set, which features new supplemental content, a 64-page photo book, and several reproductions and replicas. The extended edition of director Ben Affleck's Academy Award-winning dramatic thriller arrives on Blu-ray on December 3rd.

Synopsis: Based on real events, Argo chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis, focusing on the little-known role that the CIA and Hollywood played—information that was not declassified until many years after the event. On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, the Canadian and American governments ask the CIA to intervene. The CIA turns to their top "exfiltration" specialist, Tony Mendez (Affleck), to come up with a plan to get the six Americans safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.

Argo was one of the most honored and best reviewed movies of 2012. In addition to the Oscar presented to producers Affleck, Grant Heslov and George Clooney for Best Picture, Argo won the Golden Globe, BAFTA and Critics' Choice Awards for Best Picture. The film earned two additional Oscars -- for Best Achievement in Film Editing and for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay -- and was nominated for an additional four (Best Supporting Actor for Alan Arkin, Best Original Score, Best Achievement in Sound Editing, and Best Achievement in Sound Mixing).

Affleck also stars in the film, leading an ensemble cast, which won the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for Outstanding Motion Picture Cast Performance. Arkin was recognized with Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA Award, Critics' Choice and SAG Award nominations for his performance. Argo also stars Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Victor Garber, Tate Donovan, Clea DuVall, Scoot McNairy, Rory Cochrane, Christopher Denham, Kerry Bishé, Kyle Chandler and Chris Messina. Screenwriter Chris Terrio won Oscar and Writers Guild of America awards for his screenplay, based on a selection from "The Master of Disguise" by Antonio J. Mendez and the Wired Magazine article "The Great Escape" by Joshuah Bearman.

The Extended Edition release features Affleck's 129-minute extended cut (which is nine minutes longer than the theatrical version), as well as 1080p video, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and an UltraViolet digital copy of the film (expires 12/03/2015). Its two Blu-ray discs include all the extras from the previous Blu-ray release, plus a number of new features:

Wij moeten het wel meestal doen met nederlandse vertalingen... Soms is dat ook wel eens lachwekkend of belachelijk maar hoor je ons klagen ?
