Jaws op blu-ray

Weet er al iemand of eindelijk Jaws van spielberg op blu-ray uit gaat komen?
Ik had iets gehoord van een 35 jarige anniversery.
Lijkt me wel mooi om deze topper op blu-ray te hebben.
Misschien kan er nog wat gedaan aan de kwaliteit worden al hoewel de dvd uit 2000 ook niet mis was.

Zowel de Indiana en JP trilogy's zouden in de maak zijn voor een 2010 release. Van Jaws nog niets bekend.

Ben nog steeds benieuwd waneer ie nou eens komt. Na de indi's,close and counters and jurassic's kan het toch niet lang meer duren

Ik denk dat Jaws nooit op blu ray uitkomt. Je zult dan te duidelijk zien dat het een mechanische haai is

Gezien Spielberg nog steeds een soort conflict heeft met Universal, zal dit met zijn film voorlopig heel beperkt gebeuren. Uiteraard zal dit uiteindelijk wel goed gaan komen... Geduld dus.

Inderdaad. De Jurassic Park-films verschijnen voorlopig niet op blu-ray. Universal heeft dit bevestigd.

In an interview with Ain't It Cool News, Steven Spielberg confirmed that work on the Blu-ray edition of his 1975 thriller Jaws has already begun.

When asked if a Jaws Blu-ray was on the horizon, the director responded, "Yes, there is. Yes, there is. I've already seen some of it. I don't have a date yet, but there's a Blu-ray absolutely in the works."

While it could have been predicted that Universal is prepping the Blu-ray of such an iconic film, Spielberg's reversal on his stance towards digital alterations to his past work comes as more of a surprise. According to the interview, Spielberg stated:

"(In the future) there's going to be no more digital enhancements or digital additions to anything based on any film I direct. I'm not going to do any corrections digitally to even wires that show... If 1941 comes on Blu-ray I'm not going to go back and take the wires out because the Blu-ray will bring the wires out that are guiding the airplane down Hollywood Blvd. At this point right now I think letting movies exist in the era, with all the flaws and all of the flourishes, is a wonderful way to mark time and mark history."

This news, in addition to reports that Universal is also preparing Jurassic Park for Blu-ray, should give Spielberg fans plenty to look forward to.

Volgens The Digital Bits heeft Universal bevestigd dat een Blu-ray van Jaws inderdaad in de maak is, maar dat we de release waarschijnlijk pas in 2012 mogen verwachten.

Misschien met cgi yoda praktijken. The digital jaws.
Dit is voor mij jeugdsentiment, en staat daarin op één.

Overigens zag ik op qt trailers één nieuwe haaienfilm, waarin duidelijk wordt dat zelfs de cgi haai tegenwoordig nog verre van optimaal is.

Spielberg heeft dus juist aangegeven daar niet aan te zullen beginnen

Hij is er al mee begonnen bij E.T., maar gaat er niet mee door en daar ben ik blij om.

Gelukkig maar, want dat zou alle charme weghalen.
Plus dat bij Jaws het veel minder storend is dan bijvoorbeeld het tweede deel.

Als ze nu maar wel de volledige Making Of op de blu-ray zetten, dus zoals die nu alleen te vinden is op de DVD uit de USA.
