Besides AIR Studios fine-tuning, the VSX-AX3 features the Pioneer exclusive Advanced Direct Energy MOS FET circuitry, ensuring a stable sound image and strong drivability for all 7 channels — each with a power output of 100 W. And with the Automatic Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration(MCACC) system with microphone, it will seem like one of the professionals from AIR Studios is adjusting the sound in your living room.
The VSA-AX3's advanced 3-D Space frame construction, designed to enhance high fidelity audio, includes an isolated chamber construction as well as direct construction for optimal energy and signal flow. With the 192 kHz/24-bit DAC, you are ensured of a perfect signal conversion. The
VSA-AX3 is compatible with the latest surround sound formats, such as DTS 96/24, THX Surround EX/Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES Discrete, DTS NEO:6 and Pro Logic II. Surround sound modes are plentiful, including Virtual Surround Back for an even more impressive sound experience without having to add more speakers, while the courteous Midnight Listening mode stands for clear sound even at low volumes.
