Wat een ophef over niets ......als dit zinnetje er staat, dan moet je al afhaken. Dan kom je op niveau Prive/Weekend: "volgens een goede kennis", "een vriend van de familie vertelt" e.d..

Cher als Catwoman? Natuurlijk! Waarom niet? Dan laten we Christopher Lee The Riddler spelen en Gloria Stuart de rol van Harley Quinn op zich nemen. Wat een geweldig idee... Cher, dat ik daar niet op was gekomen?!

Meestal zal het inderdaad niets zijn, het artikel heeft het echter zelf over een "studio executive" wat toch niet zomaar een insider is en zo nu en dan komt er toch eens echt nieuws van zo'n bron. In dit geval maakt de krant die het verhaal vertelt zichzelf echter zeer verdacht van gewoon op sensatie uit te zijn door andere dingen te melden zoals Depp en het filmen dat volgend jaar begint wat je doet vermoeden dat het gedoe over Cher als Catwoman ook compleet verzonnen is. Het bericht werd trouwens ook overgenomen door veel bekende filmwebsites zoals Rottentomatoes (ben overigens blij om te zien dat de reacties daar ook praktisch unaniem negatief zijn en het bericht ook afdoen als een belachelijke roddel).

@ Mark T: officieel is er inderdaad nog niets bekend over een derde Batman-film geregisseerd door Nolan, maar Bale, Caine en Oldman hebben wel allemaal getekend voor 3 films wat toch vrij waarschijnlijk maakt dat die er ook komt (zeker gezien het succes van de tweede film). Alleen zijn ze waarschijnlijk bijlange nog niet in het stadium dat men al aan casting begint te denken aangezien er voor zover bekend nog niet eens een script of zelfs maar een concept is voor de volgende film. Maar aangezien de Cher-roddel op veel filmsites verschijnt leek het me toch wel gepast om het ook hier even te vermelden

Ik geloof dat Nolan een iets ander contract heeft dan de acteurs. Volgens mij heeft hij het recht de derde film te maken (hetgeen ook wel gesuggereerd wordt in diverse berichtgeving waarin de officiële status wordt bevestigd; niets is nog concreet), zodat hij zelf kan kiezen of hij een derde film wil maken of niet. De acteurs zitten er volgens mij wel aan vast.

Maar ik denk inderdaad dat we gezien het succes van de twee voorgaande films ervan kunnen uitgaan dat een derde film zeker is. De vraag is alleen of het Nolan's eerstvolgende project wordt.
Ik geloof dat het bij de tweede film ruim een jaar duurde voordat echt betrouwbare informatie over casting opdook. Eckhart is zelfs pas vorig jaar aangekondigd. Ik denk dat we daarom de komende maanden nog weinig concreets zullen horen, anders dan een eventuele officiële aankondiging dat de derde film doorgaat.

Jup, Nolan heeft getekend voor drie films, maar in het contract staat dat hij niet verplicht is de sequels te maken. Hij heeft gewoon de eerste optie. De acteurs staan zowiezo vast al hoorde ik Bale ook zeggen dat hij zonder Nolan wss ook niet terugkeerd.

Als dit de Harley Quinn uit de film zou zijn ben ik meteen verkocht...ziet er even creepy uit als The Joker!!

Maar ja, fan-art blijft fan-art en er is nog helemaal niets bekend over acteurs dacht ik...dus meer dan hopen kunnen we niet.

En inderdaad, zoals hierboven al eens ter sprake kwam en nu bevestigd wordt door Chuck Roven, één van de producers van The Dark Knight:

A DVD release of the film is said to be planned for the holidays (the studio won't confirm a date). And Warners and Legendary are both interested in doing a third in the series, but all involved say it will be up to Nolan to come to them with a story and a plan.

"There are a lot of us who emotionally would love to do it," Roven says. "But it's really Chris' call. Chris is the kind of filmmaker who just doesn't think about the next movie before he has completely finished the movie he is working on."

For now, Nolan is taking a well-earned vacation.

Says Roven, "When he comes back, we will see how he feels."

Dus voor de komende tijd moeten we geen nieuws verwachten over deze film, behalve misschien of Nolan nu al dan niet aan een volgende Batman-sequel wil beginnen of eerst nog iets anders gaat doen. Het Cher-bericht kan dan ook definitief als onzin worden afgedaan.

Geen Two-Face in derde film:

Though Heath Ledger's turn as The Joker scored most of the critical notices for "The Dark Knight", Aaron Eckhart's work as Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent' scored much praise as well.

Now, out doing promotions for "Towelhead", the actor confirms that the character will definitely not be a part of the next film."He's dead. I asked Chris if there was a chance of coming back. 'No way,' he said. 'He's toast.'" he told CHUD.

Was he signed for another film? He tells SHH that "No, I'm not coming back. I think unfortunately, Heath [Ledger] was supposed to go on and that didn't work out. I'm nobody. I'm a cog. I have no say over this sort of stuff. I'm sure that there's so many other characters that they could whip together. I heard Angelina Jolie was going to be Catwoman or something like that. I thought that was a great idea. I'd like to be in that one."

Althans, als er één acteur rondloopt met geweldige mimiek (die ogen... brr) dan is hij het wel! Daarnaast niet echt bekend bij een groot publiek, wat het naar mijn idee alleen maar interessanter maakt!

While Chris Nolan is still on break and hasn't begun considering a third "Batman" flick, Warner Bros. Pictures execs may have already got the next film's villains and who they want to play them in mind it would seem.

Talking with MTV News, Michael Caine revealed that he not only heard the rumors of the various villain casting choices for the next film floating throughout the media, but that he brought up the topic with a Warner executive who seems to have confirmed that some of them were right.

Caine says "When Christopher [Nolan] said we were going to do ‘The Dark Knight’ next, I didn’t what that meant in Batman terms. I said, ‘What’s the story?’ and he said The Joker. I said, ‘Oh, s–t! How are you going to top Jack [Nicholson]?’ He said, ‘Well, I’ve cast Heath Ledger. And I went ‘Ha! I couldn’t top Jack, but if anyone could, maybe Heath could.’ And he did."

He then added "I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S–t, they’ve done it again!."

Hoffman's name as a British or Russian arms dealer version of 'The Penguin' first floated around in 2006, right after "Batman Begins" but before the villains of "The Dark Knight" were set. Depp's link to 'The Riddler' is more recent but the most talked about of the rumors and Depp himself recently said he'd be open to considering the opportunity.

Of course all of this remains up in the air and depends upon the whim of Christopher Nolan who'll decide whether he wants to do the project and which villains and actors will be involved.

Lijkt me allemaal erg onbetrouwbaar. Afgezien van de slordige schrijfstijl, staan er dingen in het bericht die niet te rijmen zijn met de informatie die in de aanloop naar het maken van The Dark Knight verscheen. Bovendien klopt het ook niet met hetgeen nu officieel bekend is en met andere 'zeer betrouwbare geruchten van insiders'.

Darkhorizons brengt ook ander nieuws op basis van 'MTV-bronnen' (Will Smith als Captain America). Dat is ook al ontkracht. .

Dit lijkt me een typische kwestie van wishfull thinking. Ofwel een herhaling van geruchten die eerder al als onzin zijn ontmaskerd.

Zat gisteren Funny Games te kijken en één van de hoofdrolspelers vond ik toch wel wat weg hebben van the joker. Namelijk Brady Corbet (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm1227232/).
Het zal wel aan mij liggen, maar vond die brede mond en het gezicht een behoorlijke Joker uitstraling hebben, echter is hij veelste jong.

Ben benieuwd of er snel nieuws komt.

Als er een nieuwe Joker moet komen (al hoop ik van niet) lijkt Joseph Gordon-Levitt me de enige juiste keus.

Hij heeft de looks van Ledger, en kan heel goed acteren.

Ze zouden hem wel op Ledger's Joker kunnen doen lijken, maar ik betwijfel of hij ook zo'n overtuigende Joker-stem zou kunnen ontwikkelen zoals Ledger.

Ik zag op een infoscherm net bij het postkantoor dat Nolan nog niet zeker weet of hij aan deel 3 wil beginnen omdat hij twijfelt of het succes van TDK te evenaren is.

Alan Horn Clears Up Dark Knight Sequel Rumors

With all the rumors swirling around the internet about possible casting for Warner Bros.' sequel to the record-breaking box office blockbuster The Dark Knight--absolutely none of them true as yet--Collider had a chance to talk briefly with Alan Horn, the President of Warner Bros., and probably the one man who would know more than anyone else about anything going on with this highly-anticipated project.

He got straight to the point when asked about progress on the sequel: "We've been talking to Chris Nolan and what we have to do is get him in the right place and have him tell us what he thinks the notion might be for a great story, but Chris did a great job and we'd love to have him come back and do another one."

As far as the timing of the project, he went onto say: "The story is everything and we are very respectful of Chris. We have a wonderful relationship with him and we are going to be respectful of his timing and we want to get it right. Also, I think the fans expect that – they want us to make a terrific movie – we have to give them another great movie."

In the interview, Horn also expressed interest in bringing back Superman and confirmed that they're very close to rolling on a movie starring DC's other power player, Green Lantern. (In fact, earlier this week Dark Horizons reported that Australia was vying for the latter project, but nothing has been confirmed as far as a start date.)

vandaag stond in de krant Spits dat Eddie Murphy gecast is als de Riddler,
dat Shia LeBeouf misschien als Robin in deel 3 komt en dat rachel Weisz Catwoman speelt.
Deel 3 dat volgens de Spits "Gotham" gaat heten zal al in 2010 in de bios gaan draaien...

Vond het wel een hele goeie grap...al die geruchten zijn wel leuk maar heb liever echte informatie over dat deel 3 echt komt...
