Arnold's Big Comeback Film May Soar with "Wings"!

For seven long, excruciating years, we've waited for Schwarzenegger, now free of his Governor duties, to come back to the world of action films. Today we've heard the words we've been longing for, straight out of Arnold's own lips, that he's got three film scripts to consider; one of them being on our all-time drool list! Arnold gave krone.at a sit-down interview and revealed his long-anticipated WW2 script may be a top contender for his big motion picture comeback!



Arnold Schwarzenegger: "Currently I'm reading three scripts. One topic/script, which I considered a long time ago before governor, is delighting me particularly. In it I would play an older soldier, who gets the order at the ending of the war to kill a bunch of kids. But he doesn't do it and get them to safety at the risk of his life and it has all kind of adventure. This script is based on a true story!"



That's all Schwarzenegger had to say about the war script but TheArnoldFans.com can tell you more. The title: WITH WINGS AS EAGLES! With Wings As Eagles, written by Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers fame) is based on the true life story about a German officer who does not agree with his surrounding Nazi party and instead helps the American POWs escape.





We have read the original 2001 script ourselves and it is epic in every way! This serious, gritty, action-packed drama is the perfect direction for The Oak to head in. Perhaps now is the time for Arnold to star in these more serious epic films instead of doing the comedies and popcorn movies. Arnold himself agrees that the Commando type of films may soon be best left behind him and that more serious roles should be considered.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: "In the future I have to adapt my roles to my age. Clint Eastwood also has done it in the same way. Extreme fighting or shooting is not possible anymore. I want to be more encouraged as an actor and I believe that I can manage this challenge. I am like a sponge, which is absorbing all the knowledge and always be willing to learn all new things."

Randall Wallace still wants Arnie to play Osterman one day. "Arnold can play the part well into his 60's" he says.

Naturally, the big question is WHEN can we see Arnold in theaters?

Arnold Schwarzenegger: "No idea. I don't have a fixed plan. First of all I have to decide which one of these scripts appeals the most for me, then there have to be the right director and so on. But the movie-making is a part of my future plans. Some day the waiting is over again and I'm looking forward to that."

Today the sound of millions of fans cheering over this news can be heard worldwide! We've waited a decade for Arnold to star in With Wings as Eagles. Arnold, please don't let us wait much longer to sign on the dotted line... unless of course you're considering your other two scripts: CRUSADE and KING CONAN!

Schwarzenegger keert terug naar het witte doek!



Vorige maand gaf ex-gouverneur Arnold Schwarzenegger in een interview met een Australische krant aan dat hij enkele filmscenario's aan het bestuderen was ter voorbereiding op zijn terugkeer naar het witte doek. Er werden grote vraagtekens geplaatst bij de betrouwbaarheid van het interview, maar Schwarzenegger neemt nu via Twitter zelf alle twijfels weg. Arnie twitterde het volgende:

"Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today."

Meer nieuws over mogelijke rollen of films is er voorlopig niet. Vorige maand werd nog gesuggereerd dat Schwarzenegger een nazi-officier zou gaan spelen in de film With Wings As Eagles, geschreven door Randall Wallace (Pearl Harbor). De toekomst zal uitwijzen of Schwarzenegger inderdaad zijn zinnen op die rol heeft gezet.

The Arnold Fans has posted an interesting quote from Arnold Schwarzenegger that he said at this year's "The Arnold Classic." The site asked him to elaborate on the three film scripts he was considering as his comeback film.

"Well, first of all it's more 15 films, obvious ones from 'The Terminator' to remakes of 'Predator' and 'The Running Man' and all of those things," he said.

Schwarzenegger added that there's "also a lot of original stuff too. But I am also packaging a comic book character right now. I'm going to announce that sometime by the end of March or the beginning of April."

We assume the studios will be keeping a close eye on what that comic book character may be.

"True Lies 2 misschien de volgende film voor Schwarzenegger"



Sinds Arnold Schwarzenegger zijn terugkeer naar de filmwereld aankondigde, draait de geruchtenmolen op volle toeren. Het is natuurlijk de grote vraag in welke film we hem zijn rentree zullen zien maken. Hij kan momenteel kiezen uit talloze projecten waaronder voornamelijk sequels op en reboots van zijn klassiekers Predator, The Running Man en The Terminator. Volgens Tom Arnold, die samen met Schwarzenegger te zien was in James Camerons actiefilm True Lies, bestaat er een grote kans dat True Lies 2 de eerstvolgende film is waarin we Arnie zullen gaan zien. Beide heren zouden al een script hebben gelezen en enorm enthousiast zijn.

Arnold sprak met Movieweb en hij zei het volgende:

I have read a great True Lies 2 script, and I hope we are able to do it. Knock on wood. Arnold Schwarzenegger is excited. I am excited….We have both read the script. There is a script that James Cameron and a guy named Jeff Eastin, who created the TV show White Collar, wrote. It is really great. Jim can’t direct it. But he can produce it. We hope it gets done. We have a few fun things we want to do. I am supposed to remain cool about this. For me, it would be a lot of fun to work with the guys again.

Als Cameron niet kan regisseren, omdat hij zijn handen bijvoorbeeld vol heeft aan Avatar 2 en 3, wie moet het dan wel doen?

There is a list of really good directors. There have always been people who were interested in doing it. I let those guys handle that. I put in my two cents.

Tom Arnold steekt zijn enthousiastme in ieder geval niet onder stoelen of banken.

I am excited. All I can say right now is, I know that Arnold and I will work together. A lot of people are sending him scripts now. He is carefully going through them, deciding what he wants to do. He wants to have some fun. He wants to do something that is worth his time, but fun. Hopefully, we can get this thing figured out. And we can get something on track. I am just waiting. I am following his lead.

De laatste keer dat True Lies 2 in het nieuws was, ging het om een tv-serie die Cameron zou gaan produceren voor ABC. Dit was echter voordat Schwarzenegger plotseling zijn terugkeer aankondigde.

Arnold Schwarzenegger in tv-serie

Arnold Schwarzenegger kondigt over twee weken aan dat hij zijn opwachting maakt in een televisieserie.



De voormalig gouverneur van Californie heeft een persconferentie gepland staan op 4 april tijdens de MipTV Mediabeurs in Cannes, schrijft de Hollywood Reporter.

Bronnen rond Schwarzenegger meldden dat de acteur in een 'internationale tv-serie' zou gaan spelen. Arnie zelf kondigde enige tijd terug al aan een terugkeer naar het witte doek te ambiëren na zijn ambtsperiode en open te staan voor allerlei scripts.

Wat die terugkeer precies inhoudt, zullen we horen van 'The Governator'zelf op 4 april.

Ik was vroeger ook fan van zijn werk, vooral toen ik T2 en Predator zag. Dat zijn films waar ik nog steeds met plezier naar kijk, maar in het werkelijke leven vind ik meneer Schwarzenegger een grote kwal. Sorry voor het extreme taalgebruik maar ook ik vind dat hij er in zijn gouveneur tijd een aardig potje van gemaakt heeft.
Ik zit overigens ook niet te wachten op een comeback. De beste man heeft zijn grootste successen al achter de rug.

Nieuwe project Arnold Schwarzenegger bekend!

Sinds Arnold Schwarzenegger de politiek achter zich liet werd hij in verband gebracht met meerdere filmprojecten. De laatste tijd werd zijn naam echter steeds vaker verbonden aan een geanimeerde tv-serie. We weten nu dat Arnie zijn stem zal gaan verlenen aan het hoofdpersonage in de animatieserie The Governator.



Hoewel we dit volgens eerdere berichtgeving pas hadden moeten horen tijdens een persconferentie in april, komt Entertainment Weekly nu al met het nieuws. Het zal gaan om een comic en een bijbehorende tv-show die beiden in 2012 zullen verschijnen. Stan Lee, die tevens meewerkt aan het project, zegt er het volgende over:

The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger. We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.

Het personage zal beschikken over speciale pakken waarmee hij kan vliegen en hij heeft verschillende sidekicks. Eén van de vijanden is een kwaadaardige organisatie genaamd Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (ook wel de G.I.R.L.I.E. Men).

Schwarzenegger zelf zegt het volgende over zijn nieuwe show:

It takes my entire career, basically, whether it is bodybuilding, action movies, if it is the governorship, it takes all those things and combines it into one, and makes it into The Governator. That guy is designed to fight crime, to fight natural disasters, this guy will be jumping into action.. and he will eliminate the problems.

Arnold was een icoon. Beste tijd gehad. Time to move on. NU wordt het iets sneus, dat willen we toch niet?

Hmm, hij heeft ook aardige dingen gerealiseerd. Zeker de verhoging van het minmumloon, wat daarvoor niemand gedaan had, is een stap in de goede richting. Het is nog veel te laag, maar dit werd hem door zijn rechtse medestanders niet in dank afgenomen.

Ik kijk wel uit naar zijn comeback, alleen dan wel in goede films, niet in een comic.
