Zojuist de preview bekeken. Ik moest mijn mond even oprapen want die bleef maar open staan, het ziet er zo ongelofelijk mooi uit in 3D (en geen simpele trucjes zoals in veel films maar echt het gevoel alsof je er tussen staat/zit). Het duurt ongeveer een kwartier maar dat kwartier ziet er wel adembenemend uit. Cameron zegt zelf dat het alleen maar uit de eerste helft van de film is dus dat het niet eens grote spoilers bevat maar het is echt iets wat je moet zien.

Ik kan al niet wachten tot vanavond!

Ik ben niet echt overtuigd, al die geheimzinnigheid en dan zo'n eerste matige teaser afleveren. De muziek is inderdaad erg slecht gekozen, voegt vrijwel niets toe. De beelden maken me an sich wel benieuwd maar het is wel érg veel CGI inderdaad. Ik vrees voor een flop.

De teaser doet de film denk ik geen eer aan, allereerst is het in 2D terwijl de film voor 3D bedoeld is en inderdaad, de muziek is niet echt passend. Bij de preview was het al een stuk beter.

Voor het eerst in mijn leven dat ik zenuwachtig ben voor een trailer/teaser/preview

Ligt de Apple trailer site er soms uit? Want ik krijg niet alleen die Avatar trailer niet aan de praat. Geen enkele trailer doet het bij mij.

Ik heb de trailer wel op een kleine stream versie gezien. Ik wil dew effecten nog wel het voordeel van de twijfel geven voordat ik het zie zoals het bedoeld is.

Maar die trailer deed me over het algemeen niet veel. Hopelijk zit er nog een beetje verhaal in de film.
Die militaire voertuigen en alien designs doen me bar weinig. Dus als het vooral actie is tussen die twee partijen dan zal ik waarschijnlijk net zo onverschillig zijn over de film als over de trailer.

Maar goed, we zullen zien.

Ja ik! Kom net terug! Het was echt ONGELOFELIJK! Ik kreeg regelrecht kippenvel, ik heb nog nooit van men leven zo'n schone animaties gezien die nog eens prachtig visueel werden getoond door het 3D. Het zit allemaal goed, geloof me maar! Als ik deze mis in de cinéma(dat ik sowieso niet ga doen) dan zou het me men hele leven achtervolgen...Van het verhaal kom je niet zo heel veel te weten maar toch genoeg. Dit word gewoon de film van het najaar van 2009, zonder twijfel!

Er zitten voor mij 4!!!!! bioscopen met 3D redelijk in de buurt, maar die Avatar preview... HO MAAR!:x

Wereldwijd zijn er maar per land een paar steden die de preview vertonen. Morgen is de preview in de IMAX in Pathe Arena. Volgens de mensen van Fox is dat ook nog absoluut de moeite waard. Wel dezelfde beelden als vandaag in Ede en Almere.

Krijg je bij de Apple Trailer Site ook continu vraagtekens?
Afgelopen donderdag o.a. de Avatar teaser bekeken, maar gisteren speelde geen enkele trailer meer af. Ik krijg alleen dat Quicktime logo te zien met vraagteken. Diverse oplossingen geprobeerd, maar nog niets heeft willen helpen.

Probeer eens met rectemsuiknop op de link en dan kiezen voor: "Opslaan als..."
En dan downloaden naar je computer. Dan kan je hem gewoon op de je comp afspelen.

De scene's die aanbod kwamen:

In the first scene we see Sam Worthington's crippled ex-marine Jake Sully, who just arrived on the planet 'Pandora.' He's in a wheelchair and just rolled in to hear Colonel Quaritch, played by the impressive Stephen Lang, talk to the troops. He's giving a classic speech that every military leader gives at the beginning of a battle. Jake listens as an outsider to this speech. A melancholic smile appears on his face. Although the scene is in 3-D, I haven't really noticed it. Finally a director who doesn't feel the need to stick it in the audience's face with cheap tricks like pointing objects at the camera.

In the second scene Sigourney Weaver's Dr. Grace Augustine explains to Jake how the process of transporting your mind into an Avatar works. Although the scene is mostly exposition, we've got a good look at the lab and more importantly we get a first glimpse of the Avatars, the Na'Vi lookalikes. These tall blue creatures lie in water tanks, waiting for their human to 'jump' in their bodies. Besides Weaver and Worthington, the scene introduces Joel Moore's character Norm Spellman. As is usually the case with Moore, his character is the comic relief.

It's the third scene where my heart begins to pound like crazy. Jake and Norm will inhabit their Avatar for the first time. They enter some sort of capsule and - flash – their mind enters the blue creatures, now lying on hospital tables. And not before long Avatar Jake wakes up. And it took my breath away. I thought--just like you guys--that I've seen it all with Gollum, or The Hulk, but Cameron has done it again. These creatures seem so real, that within minutes you forget you're watching an enormous and very blue CGI character. Even the eyes are totally convincing. The characters have real personalities and a soul.

In the fourth scene the Avatars of Jake, Norm and Grace explore the jungle of Pandora. The surroundings remind me of a planet that appears briefly in "Revenge of the Sith." A lot of massive colorful flowers and plants grow everywhere. Jake's unbridled enthusiasm works on Grace's nerves. And not before long they have their first confrontation with some creatures. Some sort of rhino with a flower sticking out of his head looks like he will kill Jake, but he's not scared and he let's out a scream. The 'rhino' runs away, but not because of Jake. A more dangerous creature – a wolf? – jumps at Jake from behind.

In the next couple of scenes Jake meets Na'Vi Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). Jake finds himself alone at night in the jungle with only a torch as protection against some evil looking dogs. Eager to fight them, Jake says: 'What are you waiting for?' When one of the 'dogs' attacks him he slams the torch in the creature's face. A fight ensues that Jake can't win by himself. Lucky for him, there's Neytiri who with her trusty bow and arrow helps Jake chase away the creatures. Just when Jake wants to offer his gratitude, Neytiri knocks his reached out hand away and says to Jake that killing these creatures is a bad thing. When the scene fades out to black, my mind begins to work overtime. How the hell is it possible that I never once felt like I've been watching a movie where almost everything comes out of a computer?

The most beautiful scene follows directly after the one I've described above. When Jake wants to take his torch with him, Neytiri takes it from him and throws it in the river. Like magic the flowers and plants – even the grassy soil - begin to glow in the night. The beauty completely takes my breath away. Meanwhile we get to learn more about Neytiri and her people. Everybody who knows the story of Native American Pocahontas and John Smith, will recognize a lot of similarities. Before you can sing "Colors of the Wind," Neytiri guides Jake through her world. Mysterious flowing and glowing seeds from a mystic tree appear out of nowhere. To Neytiri's surprise Jake attracts them. She has a look in her eyes like he's the 'chosen one.' And of course she's right. Jake has to lead the Na'Vi into battle against the massive army of Colonel Quaritch.

Dat zijn ze niet allemaal trouwens . Er is ook een scene waarbij Jake leert zich te binden aan een soort vogelachtig beest wat hem de mogelijkheid geeft om zich vliegend te verplaatsen.
Maar wat een scenes zijn het, ik ben er nog steeds stil van, wil ze maar al te graag opnieuw zien maar de sleutel is verlopen . Dus op naar Amsterdam voor mij.

Hoe lang gaat de film eigenlijk duren ?

Weet iemand hoe ik kan reserveren voor de preview in A'dam vanavond? Ik kom er maar niet op de site. Als ik op reserveren klik kom ik bij het tabblad 'acties'. Als ik daar op Avatar klik kom ik weer terug bij de pagina waar ik op 'reserveren' kan klikken.

Het lijkt er ook op dat als ik bel, ik ook niet een persoon aan de lijn kan krijgen bij Pathe.

Ik vond van wel, de kleuren waren in Digital 3D iets levendiger, sprankelender. Hoorde meerdere mensen dat trouwens ook al zeggen.

Ja, ik krijg ook die vraagtekens ook. Ik heb ook al wat dingen geprobeerd, zelf Quicktime opnieuw geïnstalleerd. Op andere sites kirjg ik het wel aan de praat.

Misschien dat het dus gewoon aan Apple zelf ligt. Wel raar dat ze er nu dan nog steeds niets aan gedaan hebben.

De teaser vond ik werkelijk niet veel raars. Zo revolutionair zag het er allemaal niet uit. Hopelijk brengt de trailer me op andere gedachten...

Bwa, mij wel! Als het echt genieten is heb ik liever dat hij 2à3 uurs duurt dan 1à1.30!

Cinemec heeft een hele mooie zaal, vind alleen het scherm een beetje klein in verhouding met het formaat van de zaal. Verder heb je van die gepolariseerde brillen die ik persoonlijk niet zo fijn vind als die actieve brillen.

Die Xpand brillen vind ik anders ook niet zo geweldig, (het shuttersysteem werkt wel heel goed) want ze zakken heel snel af.
Bovendien, bij Ice Age 3 stond ik op met de bril nog op, ik draaide m'n hoofd om en de bril vloog van m'n hoofd af, naar de volgende rij toe.

Hebben jullie trouwens die nieuwe grote rood/zwarte brillen, of die oude kleinere?
