Begin maar vast te sparen mensen!
November releases:

Simpele maar geweldige cover van 12 Angry Men, wist ook niet dat ze die uit zouden brengen! toffe verrassing. Ook de Three Colors covers vind ik goed, alleen die van Rules of the Game (nog)niet echt.

Today only, Amazon is having a special lightning sale on selected Criterion Collection Blu-rays. The four titles included - Charade, Videodrome, The Darjeeling Limited, and The Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter - will be spotlighted during four 4-hour sale periods.

Charade is currently on sale for $19.99. The other corresponding Blu-rays and their discount times are the following:

Videodrome at 1 PM
The Darjeeling Limited at 5 PM
Gimme Shelter at 9 PM

All times listed are EST.

First, there are rumors circulating that Criterion may be preparing new Blu-ray and DVD editions of Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla). Criterion teased friends of their Facebook page the other day with a photo of film canister containing the film. Now we learn that the Collection has also located an original fine-grain print of the 1956 U.S. version of the 1954 classic (renamed Godzilla, King of the Monsters!). Very cool indeed. Let's hope for an official announcement soon! Thanks to Bits reader Jeremy C. for the heads-up!

I did about four pieces for the DVD and that was a lot of fun. In fact, I'm going to be doing similar things for Criterion releases of my two Jack Nicholson westerns, "The Shooting" and "Ride in the Whirlwind."

That's a scoop! Criterion hasn't even announced these discs.

They're a ways off. We haven't even closed the deal yet but we've talked about it and basically agreed. They're not going to be doing it until sometime in 2012.

Het zou dan alleen de eerste keer zijn dat zo'n tekening een clue is voor 2 films ipv 1, maar voor alles is een eerste keer wat mij betreft

De fles bevat 2 X-en en de filename is wackky drunk dog (2 letters)

Maar goed, ik heb het zelf niet bedacht, ben te slecht in dit soort raadsels

Haha, ik ook hoor - zit soms minutenlang te staren naar zo'n plaatje en blijf dan nog steeds blanco.
