It's a very thin story about a boy who experiences a magical trip to the north pole on christmas eve. It also implies that only the young can make this trip because they are uncorrupted enough to 'believe.' It will be a beautifully rendered film that will be promoted heavily with big industry names like Zemekis, Hanks and Ralston attached to the film. However, this film absolutely is not an 'animated' film. It is a live action film rendered to look like animation utilizing motion capture technolgy. The human characters are all motion captured and the animals are all rotoscoped. Not one ounce of animation will exist in this film because the studio is apparently bent on the idea of producing the first 'all motion capture film.' (I guess 'Final Fantasy' has been forgotten alrready) Will it be a good movie? Sure, I can't imagine the personalities attached making anything but a good film. I just feel it is mis-represented as animation.
